Conventional plastic can lead to endless pollution as it took millions of years be disposed of, hence an alternative using biodegradable replacing regular everyday has highly participated. Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) have the characteristics a however, exhibits low heat distortion temperature. The objective this research is investigate effect nanosilver additions on thermal properties PHA composite and its morphology behavior. Initially,4 wt/v was dissolved into 30mL dichloromethane at room After that, particle added with 10mL ultrasonicated 10 minutes. Ultrasonicated in mixture mixed for 20 minutes magnetic stirrer. Then, thin polymeric films thickness µm were obtained by solution casting method. then carefully dried temperature 24 hours. These steps repeated addition 0.25 wt% 0.5wt% suspension solution. analysis PHA/nanosilver will investigated gravimetric analysis(TGA) field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Based properties, PHA/0.5wt% shown lower onset compared pure PHA. This indicates that slower degradation rate higher stability. In conclusion, greatly improved promising plastics.
